Petroleum, or crude oil, is a naturally occurring liquid found in geological formations. The petroleum components are separated using distillation & refined into various fuels and chemicals.

Lubricants

A lubricant is an organic substance that reduces friction between surfaces in mutual contact, ultimately reducing the heat generated when characters move.

PDS (Kerosene)

Public Distribution System (PDS) Kerosene is an allocated and subsidized product. Distribution is through the PDS network, i.e., ration shops of the State Governments & Union Territories.

Furnance Oil

Furnace oil is a dark, viscous fuel oil that blends residual products from various refining processes. Usually with suitable diluents & middle distillates to get the required fuel oil grades.

Light Diesel Oil

LDO (Light diesel oil) is a blend of components from the distillation process of diesel. It is used in engines with RPMs less than 750, such as boilers and furnaces. It is also referred to as distillate fuel or marked oil.

Base Oil

Base oil is used to manufacture metal processing fluids, motor oils, and lubricating greases. Different products require different compositions and properties in the oil.

Bitumen

The term bitumen refers to a substance produced through the distillation of crude oil. Bitumen is known for its waterproofing and adhesive properties and is commonly used in the construction industry, notably for roads and highways.
